Well hello there! Yes it has been some weeks since I last posted here, but I am back and better than ever! I have been quite busy with the cafe I work at, Lowlands. We have been writing new menu's and playing with new coffees and all sorts of other jam making deliciousness. 

That is a photo of our new signage for out the front, a custom bike sign made by a Lowlands spouse named Lottie. Genius. 

We also have a rad retail section now, selling Aero Press, Clever Dripper, Tea Infusers, BYO cups and more! Not to mention the delicious beans we have for retail sale too. 

Other than that, Joe has been out gigging with his band The Bluebottles a fair bit, which is nice for him, and I have been making yummy dinners and drinking lots of tea from my giant new tea cup I bought at the supermarket. I kid you not it is bigger than a bowl of pho, with a handle attached. Good for when your snuggled in bed and just too cosy to get out and make yourself another cuppa.

We're having a GARAGE SALE! Our first ever. There will be loads of clothes/shoes/bags/hats. Also maybe some housey brick a brack type stuff. Also some other bits and bobs.

If you are in the area (Preston) you should come!

I have been so caught up with work and looking after this guy, I forgot to post photos of him here! This is Cyril Jerico-O'Reiley-Hubbard, our newest family member. He is a Scottish Fold x Ragdoll kitten, and he is also the teeniest thing I have ever seen! Don't you just wanna SQUEEZE him?!

So, If I haven't previously mentioned, I have a new job. I run the kitchen at my local cafe Lowlands Espresso. Its a nice little place. The photos above are by my friend Clara who is the front of house manager. 

We have recently re written the menu for a more Autumn-y feel. The top image is of a dish from the Summer menu, Dench Brioche with candied pistachios & citrus zest, caramelized nectarine, mashed banana and micro herbs. It was pretty rad. 

The last photograph is of a new menu item. Avo on toasted Dench Sourdough with preserved grapefruit, fetta, lemon juice, EVOO and micro herbs.
