62.
I am slack.
I have not posted on this blog for so long I kind of feel like a traitor being back here. I have just had so much going on of late, and haven't had any film developed therefor I have a lack of things to put up on here. But I am back, though it may be sporadic.
I currently have the bridal bug. It is a little bit gross, but a little bit charming too. I am wishing that we could get married in some sort of American Countryside barn like this one pictured, but that just aint' gonna happen, so we have opted for a sunny backyard wedding - Preston style. And no I don't mean parachute pants and VB cans. There are nice parts of Preston you know?
I DO mean DIY floral arrangements in Mason jars, hill's hoyst clothesline draped with flowers and vines and jars with tea lights. I also mean a 'quite bridey' dress to amp things up a little. I had a dress disaster with the one I had planned on wearing, and it was unable to be repaired. Which kind of came as a blessing in disguise after the initial month of freaking out. I am now in love with the new dress I chose, and await it's arrival on my doorstep. I ordered it online, so fingers crossed that the sizing is ok - a little scary over here!
I did have a Bridezilla moment when we had planned to use another venue- also quite scary, for Joe especially!- but once we changed the location to our big yard, things started falling into place, and the Zilla left town thank god.

So I haven't blogged in some time. Sheesh. Sorry about that. Since my last post, I have moved house, got a new dog (he is a whippet named Ziggy, from a shelter in Melbourne), thrown out and accumulated furniture and re-decorated our new house (we moved to DePreston! Living it up suburban style...) many many times.
Tonight I took some promo photos for Joes band silverdollarsunlimited, and I thought I would share a few of the images, so here they are!

These are my lovely friend Clara's photographs of a night at our little home. Full of cider, homemade sushi and yakitori (made by me!). I am a huge fan of her crafts and soft focus photography. She is having a stall at the one and only Craft Hatch next weekend, go check out her knitted neckpieces!

So. I got a new tattoo. My friends at Rancho Deluxe in Collingwood had a hot-rod-slash-vintage-stuff market on Saturday, and one of their pals Matt Gordon from Down To Earth Tattoos in Essendon was doing flash tattoos for $50.
So even though I'm not really meant to get any tattoo's for another 6 months (long story as to why...) I was feeling sad, as Joe and I found out that our dream home (below) that was promised to us, was being demolished instead of rented out to us! So I got the damn tattoo. And I am very happy with it. It is the beginning of the end of my sleeve, that has been in the works for over 6 years now. I think it is time to finish it.

So, we have decided to move house. This house pictured above is our hopeful/dream home. It is on the border of Preston and Reservoir, and has a backyard the size of a baseball field. Including a hols hoist clothesline, for Goon of Fortune-ing.
We are going to inspect sometime this week, and will hopefully know if it is ours by next week. So damn excited. It is a huge step up for us, from our weenie 1 1/2 bedroom flat, to this massive 3 bedroom home. So much more space! And so much more furniture to buy...
Wish us luck please!
